Em 1961, um grupo de adolescentes embarca para uma longa viagem no veleiro "Albatroz", um navio-escola comandado por Christopher Sheldon (Jeff Bridges), um severo capitão que, junto com Alice (Caroline Goodall), sua mulher, pretende transformar aqueles jovens em homens. Based on a true incident from 1960, White Squall is the story of the tragic sinking of the Albatross, a prep school educational two-masted schooner, during a Caribbean storm.
